Registration for Doctoral Researchers with a Doctoral Examination at Another University
In accordance with the ▶ Guidelines for the Doctorate at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), all KIT doctoral researchers register with KHYS through ▶ Docata.
Note: In addition to registration, it may be necessary to apply for acceptance/admission to the doctoral program at the other university.
Requirements for central registration with KHYS in the Docata web portal:
- You have completed a written agreement with your academic supervisor. [▶ more]
- To use Docata, you need a ▶ KIT-Account (ending at @kit.edu or @partner.kit.edu).
Steps to register in Docata:
- Initial one-time registration in Docata using your KIT-Account ▶ Register as a Docata user
- Log in to Docata using your KIT Account ▶ Login
- Fill out the electronic application form: Enter details about your doctoral research project in the electronic application form and upload the signed written agreement in Docata.
- Certification of your registration: A written registration certificate from KHYS is typically available for download in Docata within 10 working days. With your registration, you automatically become a ▶ member of the Karlsruhe House of Young Scientists (KHYS) and gain access to various support services.
