Wednesday, 11 September 2024, 13:00-17:00
Online

The event will be held in English and run for three days, on September 11, 13 and 23, 2024.

Are you ready to enhance your data analysis skills? Take the first step to make your research work more efficient and effective! Our "Introduction to R" course is specifically designed for doctoral candidates and postdocs, providing the perfect foundation to master the R programming language. R is one of the leading programming languages in the scientific field and data science, enabling you to perform complex data analyses and create visually appealing graphics.

In this course, you will learn the fundamental concepts and features of R. We will guide you through a general introduction to programming languages, the philosophy of R, basic syntax, variables, loops, if-statements, and functions. Additionally, we will show you how to install and effectively use R libraries.

The content is delivered through practical exercises, supported by access to our Rstudio server. This means you do not need to install any additional software and can start working on the exercises right away. Through practical examples, you will be able to apply what you have learned immediately, helping you to make quick progress.

This event is open to doctoral researchers and postdocs at KIT who are KHYS members.
